I'll most likely also open a Live2D rigging slot or two a bit later than that, once I get websites/forms/pricing sorted out fully.

What if with 2 you flipped the background image? Text ends up in the coffee and the character would be tilted in the more open space. Might still need a little more contrast. Just a thought, no idea if it would look as good as my imagination thinks it would.

The weather said nothing about thunder, just rain. Was not thrilled when I was about to go to bed and saw lightning meaning no not bed time, babysit the stupid dog time.

Assuming your referring to 2D art for use in Vtube Studio: only Live2D is compatible as far as I know. Live2D has a free version with some limitations you can start in to learn and then could do the one month pro free trial if those limitations are too limiting for finishing the rigging you'd want.

Ooo glue tears. Might have to try that next time, so far I've been using deformers. Thanks for the breakdown!

On the canvas where the model is. In live2d items can move outside the canvas so they'd be able to position it correctly in program without the canvas/file having to be so much taller for the background. Just make a flat copy of the lance to use as a location/hand drawing reference.

I think around 8k tall for the model is about average I've seen for higher resolution, 4k to 6k being the lower ends. 10k+ can become problematic for Live2D to run well, especially with higher layer counts. The lance you might want to treat like a tail and actually draw it separated and centered...

Same with necks to the head deformer! Both of these things blew my mind when I learned about em.
