This Lyme disease story is out of left field given what's onscreen and history (50 years). What if the change in direction isn't in part due to Deidre's own request? We know from interviews she seems to struggle talking about Drake etc. Maybe she doesn't want to live there onscreen?

And...where did this tick come from? We haven't exactly Marlena in a woods lately. This show is ridiculous.

I gave them till the gala/ anniversary to prove themselves. If they can't write a compelling story for the face of the show, with nearly 50 years of history after the death of her leading man, I have no faith they can be trusted with a 60 year legacy of family,drama, drama and love. Nope, done.
