As someone that has been involved in rama with people I used to hang around with and rp with, atleast 10+ years ago, I really can't blame you for staying out of it. It's just so unhealthly to get involved in some stuff.

As someone that has been involved in rama with people I used to hang around with and rp with, atleast 10+ years ago, I really can't blame you for staying out of it. It's just so unhealthly to get involved in some stuff.

I can speak from experience. You either get your heart completely broken when you are told the truth or you start deluding yourself into thinking that there has to be something there, which can turn into a uncomforable obsession. Been through both and feel alot of guilt about how I used to be.

I get it, it's work and it takes alot of effort but I agree that it feels kinda iffy, with real money being involved.

Like in what way are they doing it? Because I can imagine some do it, if they are doing "work" and setting up the event and such, since it can be alot of work. But feel like ingame gold would be a better idea for that, to keep it in character without involving real money.
