I would say they are more open minded and questioning than most adults. They aren't entrenched in their ways of thinking and are willing to learn and change. Definitely not smarter. Although saying that, what is smart?

I liked The Morbid Zoo’s take on that idea of “you should keep childlike wonder and fear, as in do one thing that scares you everyday,” but actually be you know… an adult. Maybe learn some things beyond your 2nd grade science and history class.
