Eventually the product sucks and even the most loyal users start looking elsewhere. Ads are an addictive crutch that temps uninspired executives.

Once you've gone down the ads path, it just gets worse. You start focusing on how to increase ad revenue, which ends up influencing the product. To keep revenue up and to the right, you increase the amount of ads overtime.

I want to like it, but it's a strange product/market. It doesn't make sense to get quality hardware for limited software and the cheaper hardware is junk. It reminds me of the netbook era. It kinda works for some things (k-12), but otherwise frustrating.

I can do the basic home-related activities on the iPad, but it's painful as soon as you need to use it for work-ish activities. I have a few retired family members who only have an iPad Air and it it's no problem. It makes tech support super easy.
