It's hard to convince some people to watch this show because, ignoring its intriguing premise, it appears to be a relatively standard procedural "cop" show on the surface, but it manages to evolve past that by the second season and become something so much more.

Genuinely a large portion of office buildings don't need to exist at all and could just be replaced by remote work, and that means those office buildings could be converted into something more valuable like... housing.

I don't necessarily agree. The infrastructure required to access national parks ironically damages the actual park (roads are a good example, see Crossings by Ben Goldfarb). Encouraging more people to fly from across the globe is probably not good for our planet.

Fun fact: pesticides are really good at spreading around by volatilizing, getting carried by wind or water, and clinging onto clothes. Pesticides used for lawns have been found inside house dust, settled inside carpet where children and pets are most exposed
