Absolutely! I moved here from California and I get the impression that a lot of rural folks only first hand experience with the outside world is from Facebook and the news. Back home, I could come into contact with so many different folks with different perspectives just at the grocery store.

The amount of Islamophobia that I have been hearing in 2025 is wild. But I guess that just means that people have always been Islamophobic they were just waiting for the moment they felt safe to say it
