Something out of the archive: A male Northern lapwing (Kiebitz).

They lay 3 to 4 eggs in a ground scrape often in open farm land. The chicks are able to walk shortly after hatching.
As farmers, we try to look out for lapwing nests days before agricultural operations and leave these areas out.
