They must be able to offer care and support to all people, including - Black, Indigenous, brown, trans, queer, lesbian, gay, disabled, mad, neurodivergent, crips.

In general, there must be more birthworkers, midwives, and IBCLCs with intersectional identities in order to prioritize and ensure the well-being of people who conceive; continue or terminate pregnancy; experience birth, labor, and/or loss; and who want to chest/breastfeed.

As a queer, trans, racialized, mad, neurodivergent, crip birthworker, I very much am aware that if I have the privilege of conceiving and continuing a pregnancy, I am not likely to receive care and support that I deserve to have access to.

To supplement my birthwork, I'm also studying herbalism, somatics, and to be an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and midwife assistant.

As a birthworker myself, I am presently learning, completing, or have completed - fertility support [to conceive or prevent pregnancy]; abortion care and support; labor, birth, and postpartum support; childbirth education; and EOL, death, and grief care, support, and education when navigating loss.

Birthwork is carework that encompasses a spectrum of skills, support, and care that is offered with compassion and kindness.

The care and support that is offered must center, witness, and honor the different experiences and identities of this person. This includes, but is not limited to, having more racialized, trans, queer, mad, neurodivergent, crip birthworkers.

Despite polycrisises, people from different communities and with different identities continue to conceive and will either continue, terminate, or lose the pregnancy.

There's so much I want to do but my bodymind's limitations are indeed limiting me and it feels incredibly awful.

I want solutions instead of having to 'ride them out' because these symptoms are messing with my capacities and capabilities to exist, to just be, to co-exist and be in relationship with my beloveds and communities, to complete tasks, and to work on my goals.

Are folks not recognizing that they are reinforcing hierarchies of whose lives are valued?

How can folks place trust in a person to advocate for trans and queer liberation when they are aligning with the very systems, institutions, etc. that police, incarcerate, institutionalize, genocide a group of people - including trans and queer people??

I'm absolutely disgusted by everyone who continues to place him on a pedestal and praise him while he legitimizes cops and the genocidal state of 'Israel'.
