Years ago, I wrote this sci-fi story where the main character loved an android whose human brain was uploaded into a machine. It was meant to feel unsettling for the readers. Like, what is consciousness, really? But now that I hear people flirt with Chatgpt, I’m too scared to publish it.

Recently, I realized how real touch deprivation is. Not even romantically, just a real hug from family or close friends. We hugged with a friend yesterday, and I almost started crying because I haven't felt that feeling for nearly 3 years. Hug the people you love as much as you can.
