I feel it just ruins the hype a bit if you start to actually think about it. It's never really made a difference for me personally since I spoil things for myself anyway and read through like everything in the wiki when I like a series, but the final point is always obvious if you think about it

Also, Ygra's ward would've been nice to give me a source to sack my food tokens without paying mana for them, I just would've needed a way to target Ygra in the first place
