yeah thats what I was reading aswell, I also managed to get mine about 100$ off on amazon although I did get the 2 year insurance on it just incase so it worked to the about the same price in the end. I also saw that the 5080 and 5090s are like 3k in a price jump which is crazy to me

Ill definitely be starting from a clean base just to be sure.

especially where it seems to be only the new gen games crashing me and where my old 3090 had that 16gb vram it could struggle do it but this cant even manage that

I am actually on an amd ryzen I double checked the cpu and yeah it really seems like it has to be the vram I can't think of any other thing wrong, I think I am legitimately just pushing past the 8gb

I've only streamed at 1080p but I had to significantly reduce my bit rate since this new gpu aswell which has had a lowering of quality

I tried telling my tech guy and hes like no it cant be that,
but its the only thing left thats wrong so I am completely stumped if this 16gb gpu doesn't work.

I ended up going with the ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 5070Ti 16GB GDDR7 White OC Edition

when I stream I have the vtuber software, obs streaming to 3 platforms, the game itself ,three chat windows, discord running sometimes more. It hovers around 7.5 gpu memory outa 8gb. Every time theres alot on screen in a game or a special graphic effect boom gpu failed cuz it pushes past 8gb.

The bios / drivers and firm/software are upto date, I even went in and did some personal tweaks to settings that should have made it run better, boot in safe mode, uncapped the shader/texture storage ect... the only thing I can personally see wrong is I push past the 8 gb gpu mem when streaming

we went through and removed all the bloat we could still gotta get rid of win 11 copilot but thats it.

He took the mother board out and ran every test he could and it seemed undamaged, and its a 14th gen I believe, all the stuttering and lag has been fixed, its just straight gpu crashes and failures, the rest of the computer is fine from what we can tell

and if that doesn't work I literally cant keep fixing this computer cuz I am out of money now.
I dont think spending anymore then I have on this thing is worth it anymore cuz this computer is in the 5ths of digits now and I rather save up a few years and make a new one at this point.
