Just saw on tiktok that a girl, who has been called out repeatedly for advocating crappy guinea pig care, now has a pregnant sow from letting her unfixed male visit with her and I’m so sad for that poor baby. I wish people would take better care of piggies, they deserve the world 😔

Hufflepuff looks to be almost ready to rejoin the herd. All her incisions but one are fully healed, she's in a lot less pain, and her appetite and energy are returning.
We never expected her medical condition to be so complex. If anyone can contribute to her care, I'd be deeply grateful.

Hufflepuff looks to be almost ready to rejoin the herd. All her incisions but one are fully healed, she's in a lot less pain, and her appetite and energy are returning.

Rhys woke me up hooting last night. He’s currently at the vet getting antibiotics for a cold, but it really goes to show you how quickly these little guys can go downhill when they get sick. Little man was completely fine, popcorning around, at bedtime. Remember to keep a close eye on your piggies!

I think the craziest thing about the whole deferred resignation thing is that the feds are going to get rid of all of those people and inevitably just replace them with themselves but as wildly more expensive government contractors.

Is there a service similar to Kindle Unlimited that isn’t through Amazon? I know about the Libby app but I think you have to wait for those books, so I’m wondering if there’s another similar service! #booksky

I definitely found my mom’s Sookie Stackhouse books in early high school and, as a former educator as well, firmly believe that books can be a great, controlled way for teenagers, especially girls, to explore their sexualities while staying safe.
I don't know about the rest of y’all but when I was in junior high there were (not library) books with "naughty" parts that we passed around. You can't control young people's curiosity, but you can help them make good choices and many librarians are experts at recommending books for all ages.
