I know a fed who made a significant purchase before the shutdown, with the idea that it would be a typical shutdown. The purchase happened before 45/47 announced possible layoffs. People move differently when layoffs are threatened.

I used my local library's private room rental for a job interview as well! And it worked out. It wasn't until I moved away that I learned about quiet rooms or private room rentals because my hometown, a major city, does not have them.
