Just finished reading. A historical fiction about Donut Dollies from WWII. Excellent read, obviously rough subjects in some part. Beautiful ending. Urrea is quite a writer! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5.

I have loved Ms. Alvarez’s writing style since In the Time of the Butterflies. This book is no different. A rich development of all characters with flaws and endearment. The end felt rushed but all in all, I enjoyed it. #booksky
