Looking back this past year has been a lot of learning and meeting a lot of great new people. I’m slowly making my way and I’m so glad I decided to bring art back seriously into my life 3 years ago 😊

🌱 Apply to more agents/art directors with my updated portfolio
✏️ Finish my story/dummy?
🎨 Keep making new art for my portfolio
⛰️ Keep sketching outside (it kind of died near the end of the year)

🍎 Joined a 3 month long mentorship and made a few more portfolio pieces including one for my own story
💡Applied to a bunch of agents and got a bunch of rejections lol but I’m happy to have gotten to a point where I could confidently submit my work
📚 Got more involved with my local SCBWI branch

🇮🇹 Joined a magical week long art retreat in Puglia, Italy with Sarah Dyer and got really into mixed media sketching
🏞️ Sketched outside on 3 hikes!
🧘 Spent a weekend at a refreshing local illustrators getaway
💛 Made so many new art friends
