Thinking on it, if it didn't start off so strong, or if the mystery element wasn't there, I don't think I would've even finished it.

I think I gradually started liking it less and less as it went on, and if I didn't finish it in a sitting, I don't know if I would've went back to it.

I liked so much of the story, but the bad is REALLY bad. I wouldn't put it in the same ball park as b*rserk, but only by a step or two.

It's possible that a fan edit could fix MOST of the issues.

Despite this, I did actually like it... I think lol. I liked it enough to look into the manga anyway.

For those curious, the first chapter I looked at that was right around the ending of the anime, contained a woman who was stripped off screen, and was being violently fingered and degraded.

It almost feels like it was written by two people. Even to the point where there seem to be multiple tone shifts, especially around some of the worse sections.

I've seen this anime being reccomended to women as a cathartic horror, and I wouldn't suggest that tbh.

I will say, my issues with the combat were still there, but they got less annoying. Now the hits that I got from trying to fight the camera didn't ruin the entire fight for me

Idk, I'm just kinda ranting after staying up too late playing this game.

I'm sure I'll just turn the difficulty down to normal, and enjoy the game. But right now I'm pretty annoyed, because it felt like I was just fighting the game rather than fighting the enemies for the last 8 hours

Theres a lot of small annoying things I find, where every action seems to override the other.

Like if I do a light attack with my chain, I have to watch the entire animation before I can get my shield out. Like, string of commands seem to be frowned upon imo

I AM playing on hard, but it doesn't feel like I'm just not doing enough damage, or they're doing too much. I played sekiro, I learned how to parry lol

But there's never been that moment where I can just lock in and get myself out of a bind.

For reference, I started playing lies of P last week, absolutely love it, no difficulty challenges, no complaints.

This game, it feels like it WANTS me to go super agro and hack and slash, but I dont do the damage for that type of gameplay to work, and it also wants me to focus heavily on parrying
