I FIXED THE "GAME CONTENT IS DAMAGED" BUG IN GH3PC
veteran gh3pc players know what this is, selecting "continue without saving" and then loading manually from the options menu fixes this every time, so i just made it retry immediately if it fails the first time

turns out the game waits 3 seconds until it reads/writes the save file, and an additional second after it loads to tell you that it's been read/written. for no reason.

this blew the case wide open, according to git this was introduced on MAY 2ND, 2024, 8 months ago. we were recommending people to use beta 7 for stability, and this was introduced in beta 8. it all made sense now.

then it hit me, what if ALL THIS TIME, we had a typo in the list that caused the crash?
i checked it immediately after coming up with this lead, and sure enough, there it was. the game was trying to load “daylate”, when the actual file name was “daylatedollarshort”.

then one day i was adding a bunch of new menu music loops to the game. we’ve had custom ones forever but i wanted to add more. every loop is placed in a giant list to tell the game which audio file to point to, as well as the data to display on the main menu

rb3dx has had really bad issue for a long time where the game would just mysteriously hard-crash when getting past the intro movie or going back to the music library. we made many, many optimizations but we just couldn’t figure out why the game was crashing
