i was a lil tipsy while writing this sorry lol, blue-shifted are closer together and closer to us than the red one here. but idk how this data was processed so not %100 sure

there’s a thing called “redshift” and “blue shift” which helps determine how far away stuff is/how fast its moving, so in this photo the more blue galaxies are more than likely closer then the red ones, assuming the colors are just adjusted to be visible and lil adjustment, but tbh %100 in this data

p sure just that its relatively young in its cycle, since its non-smooth and has arms that means stars are still being born, most galaxies it’s hard to get specifics especially that far away
