ALBUM OF THE WEEK: #raditude by #weezer

Many call it "trash" and their worst album, but I disagree strongly. It's almost one of my favorite albums by my favorite band. Top 100 of all time.

It's a happy, energetic alt rock album with many other elements mixed in. The lyrics are deep and relatable

Here's my #spotifywrapped summary 2024! #weezer and #trainband (with 5/5 songs!) on top, as expected. Been a great year in terms of music, at least.

ALBUM OF THE WEEK: Radiohead - My Iron Lung EP

(Yes, EPs are eligible for this format if they feel like a short album to me.)

I discovered this #radiohead gem only 1.5 days ago, but it has quickly become one of my favorites, far surpassing the album it belongs to. It sounds beautiful and dreamy.

It's been a rough past 2 weeks, and this early 2000s alternative album is speaking to all of my emotions. Hope, melancholy, confusion and more. Nostalgia for a time before a loss.

I was also lucky enough to hear the title track in public!

Also there's some festival that's part of the tour and Green Day plays on the same day, and Muse is there too?!

Sadly it's probably too far away and too expensive for me... would be great ;(

ALBUM OF THE WEEK: For Me, It's You by Train

This mellow 2006 alt rock album can easily be overlooked as it's surrounded by the band's two best albums - but it's actually brilliant. It approaches love and heartbreak in a sweet, naive and optimistic, but also melancholic way.
