I’m pretty convinced the lack of buy-in from Twitter’s relatively liberal sports communities is what’s killing this place. Sometimes you want to be able to talk about non-political things with people you can trust politically. You can’t do that here.

Agreed. If this place goes down the drain I’ll just be done with socials outright, which is totally fine and maybe preferable.

You can tell yourself whatever you want but it won’t change the fact that you’re using politics as some sort of vehicle to negatively sooth your ego. It’s unhealthy, you should find a different hobby to that end and engage with politics in a more genuine and constructive way. I mean it. Best wishes.

I’m generally of the thought that non-violent resistance is preferable too, but let’s be honest with ourselves: Donald Trump has committed the highest of crimes, and can only pay for them with his life. This goes for many members of his administration too.

Anyone deep enough in this thread to read this post probably already knows this, but the Japanese volunteered to take in Jewish asylum seekers during WW2 because they read POTEOZ and thought they would be the difference maker when their alliance with Germany eventually gave way to its own war.
