A joke heard in med schools: You know what they call the last student in the class? Doctor.

There is literally no incentive to flunk out anyone who gets into med school.

My advice is to ignore anyone telling you to get a road bike or anything that requires clip-on shoes or special equipment. Get something that doesn’t strain your back or shoulders and with fenders and a rack so you can get groceries. Prioritize comfort over speed.
