“I wondered if these people were content with their struggle, yet when I saw their faces, they seemed so content. So.. at peace with the current state of their lives. In a way, they had much more than the rich men at the markets wasting their life away on drink and flesh” (Ch.2)

I do this is for 2 reason.
First, I believe the environment can reflect personality. A lot of people like to imagine others’ (especially characters) personality by visualizing it in their head.
Second, Josen has a strong set of ideals, but like any man, even a foundation made of wood can burn.
