i couldn't think of how i wanted my portfolio site to look and then last night i finally had a brain blast and now im like sooo close to being done i just need to implement it... honestly coming up with what i wanted to do is so much harder than actually doing it

i spent so long looking at cel shading implementations that i didn't like and then said fuck it and then just did dithering and posterization and it looks actually real nice

started working on the visual novel ui!! i made the mockups on the left yesterday, and then today i worked on getting it in game :]
i did some changes for font because it seemed like what i wanted to do wasn't going to be so simple w unity's ui systems, n am real happy w how it turned out!!

wait update on then;again: i'm restarting in unity because i don't quite love unreal and also my old project suffered from Time Crunch disease
i stopped working on the unreal one after grad because school gave me such bad burnout that i could not even force myself to want to work on it

update w my game!! lots of progress since last time, attacking now looks better, the game's main mechanic is in, first attack skill is in, and we got cel shading B)

unity's editor is absolutely faster than unreal and unreal has more of a learning curve but man unreal is just so cool that i can't imagine i'll be all too torn up about never using unity again

unreal is so crazy cool... the amount of functionality that's just out of the box offered to you is insane, and blueprints make it SO easy like... this is the beautiful world
