I really despise the way "slop" has shifted from being a derogatory way to refer to generative AI to just being used to mean "thing that you dislike." When it's used in a non-AI context it feels like a really trashy and dismissive way to engage with art

I haven't spoken up at all about the genocide in Gaza because I figured it was futile and there was nothing that I could do about it, but that was stupid of me and I feel awful about waiting this long to say something.
