You ever flee from social interaction so fast and hard that you leave a dust cloud behind you? Disappear so quickly that your partner has to do a double take to figure out where you went?

I recently had the opportunity to read Moser and Xhignesse's "A Garden of One's Own, or Why Are There No Great Lady Detectives?" It discusses how the audience of a story has certain beliefs and biases given to them by the world that affect their ability to buy into a story. 1/

Taking some family to the airport and we passed by a billboard advertising some new books. Does that actually work? Is there a noticeable bump in sales that happens when you rent out a billboard for a book?

The more I learn about working with Maya and Unreal, the more 'simple' things in games astound me. Smoke and sparks on a broken controller? This is what mine looks like. You digital artists are freaking wizards!

I feel mislead by all dystopian literature. It's supposed to be a powerful authoritarian government that lords over a cowering population, and and we just need need a few brave acts of heroism to give the people the courage to rise up.
Instead it's just half the country being dumb and mean.
