"Charlie, there are a million things in this universe you can have and there are a million things you can't have. It's no fun facing that, but that's the way things are"

I have no idea if hearing this as a pre-school child was a good thing or a bad thing but it certainly had an impact. 😐

so glad I didn't watch the film. I got a distinct impression of the movie from just the trailer alone and your episode has vindicated my choice

I like everything except the front nose/air dam/fascia. They just couldn't let it have a happy face.

it's ok I guess. I don't like the Supra at all though - both aesthetically or spiritually. It's a BMW and it shouldn't exist.

I think the ST Next Gen HD remasters have set an insanely high standard for this kinda thing and that's largely because from what I can tell everyone involved in the project was an obsessive fan and refused to let anything but the most top notch final product out of the door

absolutely gorgeous, though the USDM bumpers are a bit unfortunate on these

Once I get my podcast;
An Australian Take on the Evolution of American Liberalism thru the Lens of Star Trek going you’ll be my first guest. I predict a double digit listenership within 10 years.

It's because of you (the woke left) and your refusal to compromise and agree to a robotic churchill that nothing ever happens.😤

Sorry but could you elaborate on this for a total foreigner? This seems like something very funny on the surface and I'm keen to know more...

Your critiques are all valid and correct but this was the first thing I watched after my partner passed away and I am unable to be objective about it because I was Going Through It™ and this show was just pure lapsed-christian catharsis at a time that I really really needed it.

Delightful photo! Also I had no idea people were so into the GB Camera. It's heartening to see people giving it a second life (I haven't touched mine since probably 2001?)

I see Copilot’s role in programming as akin to when Microsoft introduced Frontpage for building HTML websites back in the 90s; great for quickly generating a small website with bloated impenetrable code that you had to discard due to the infeasibility of making any changes or improvements to it

50 years later, and the situation has only worsened - especially in my city. The only way to combat this in the immediate, is defacto telecommuting for all possible jobs - and just look at how the capitalist rent seekers are fighting against normalising that. 🙄

I used to do this but then I found out the call recordings can be used to train bots to masquerade using my voice so that's another simple joy the 21st century has taken from us

Some dvd players would remember but similarly inconsistent in my experience yeah

VCRs are far more reliable when it comes to resuming playback if you have to stop the tape for whatever reason. It's a dice roll whether any of the streaming services I use can reliably do this.
