Successful polyamory, and by this definition I mean having multiple partners with whom you have lasting emotional relationships, requires you to confront patriarchal structures. It takes work and confronts monogamous structures, which are often steeped in the patriarchy

I feel like polyamory is in direct opposition to capitalism because it demands sharing of resources, breaking down patriarchal instincts, and an honesty that is rarely seen in monogamy. I've never really thought of it through that lense though🤔🤔🤔
