Bluesky slapped a nsfw label on it, but I promise it’s nothing you wouldn’t see at a museum of fine art (if not as well done as the masters of course) 😭 I appealed it but it might take a while for them to look at it.

All good points! I just put this out there for those who have less experience with phishing attempts

Sending hugs. I feel like this every now and then, and it sucks every time. Just know I still cherish the commission of Tali from you all those years ago 💜 your art has only gotten better since, and it was already amazing then. :>

Bad in the vein of, they are designed to keep your eyeballs glued to it as much as possible, so they throttle your work unless you post, comment, and share a lot (keeping it to what you enjoy)

it can still happen of course, but it's definitely a lot of work no matter what.

From my meager experience (Im not a big artist by today's standards - 2009 tho I'd be pretty good lol) - you ultimately get what you put in, and I think in some cases it's luck. Bluesky has been really good about reaching my fellow nerds and writers and artists, but sites like Instagram are bad lol

Growing an audience depends on the platform + your interests + engagement.

Catering to something you do not enjoy will bleed into your work and likely won't work in the long run. If in the chance it does work, your audience will be for that, not your actual interests.
