I'm a Minnesotan, a nurse, a mom, a sometimes artist, and a supporter of human rights who would love nothing more than finding a like minded community during these dark times.
I feel like we're in the fight with everyone. We might not be as deep as the specialists but we're right there on the front lines. Vaccines? Peds? Repro/women's health? Cancer? Geriatrics? Nutrition? Sexual health? There's not much we DON'T care enough about to fight for.

No diagnosis at all for me. Mind you this was the 80's and early 90's. I was just told I wasn't "applying myself" and that I could've done the work "if I wanted to". Only just realizing how damaging those messages were.

Nope, I wasn't given one as a child or teen because "they told us girls didn't get that" per my mom. 😂 Got diagnosed in my 30's. Finally trying to do something about it in my 40's.

What a sweet pup. Love his jacket. It was a beautiful day to have off up here. (Not me being jealous after spending my day inside at work)

I'll take froot loops over the sanitizers that the distilleries put out during COVID any day. Bless them for doing it, because we couldn't find enough in healthcare at the time, but damn if that stuff didn't stink.

another provider's schedule. Patients that are called are scheduled into their PCP's schedule ASAP. If it is an acute illness they are told to come to our walk in care. If it is a pre op or other necessary appt they get moved onto another provider's schedule

I am a Clinic Supervisor at a smallish FP clinic. When one of our providers calls in, they text me, I let our schedulers know and they start calling patients. Anyone (early appt) who can't be called is placed into another provider's schedule. Things that can't be moved to another day are put on

I came here to work for a summer. So far that summer has been 26 years. 😉

Right? It's not spectacular per se, but it's so peaceful and just pretty. It reminds me a bit of the woods back home in West Virginia where I grew up.

I agree. Nothing quite as peaceful as listening to the loons as you paddle.

I have to say, 'oodles' feels more like a quantity measurement than a volume measurement, Doctor. 😉😂

There's a reason we often refer to them as Medicare DISadvantage plans.

It's hard to see the beauty that still is when so much around us is dark. I, too, am trying to actively remember beautiful things as a reminder of why we continue to fight. I can't keep working and fighting if I don't.

I'm ashamed that oodles and heaps were not units of measurement covered in my nursing education. 😂

To the Tangerine Traitor this is a positive thing. He got away with assaulting a woman AND made it so she can't say anything. He just wants him there so they can exchange notes.

Sad, angry, terrified. Those are where I've been sitting since the election. I am now challenging myself to do one positive thing just for me daily and am posting one beautiful thing for each angry/sad post/reply I make. We have to remember beauty to remember why we're still fighting. Hugs to you.

What type? Any type of cheese will do. To be fair, I'm already fascinated just reading the replies. Now I very much want some cheese.

I'm embarrassed to say that I laughed out loud at this. 😂
