Oh I agree with you - but a lot of those people don’t think of themselves as cruel. Some genuine believe in the idea that the strong survive, while not seeing the advantages society and just luck gives them

Is it? Maybe because the idea that charity is given by individuals rather than that everyone has equal rights (too socialist) leads to resentment at bring told what to do.

Yes but after a bit the government refused to do sensible things like ventilation and selective masking on say public transport and everyone just went back to”normal”. The US anti masking stuff filtered through here.

It’s very strange from a country that has a myth of pioneer spirit and enduring hardship and which was a leader in technological and scientific innovation that a sizeable group are not prepared to accept science or wear a mask for a bit.

I have actually. Recently. Over the past 3 -4 years though it has gone bad. It was better for a glimmer. Not perfect but better snd people were more accepting.

Yes it’s always been there to some extent - racism more than anti lgbt. What’s happened is right wing funding via bots etc has amplified it and funded politicians to further their aims.

See I don’t think that’s true. I think most people weren’t that bothered about trans people but get some bigots in influential places, write bogus reports and push agendas. Standing against that is hard. The narrative shifts a bit but it’s political. Links to right wing Christian groups

Those aren’t clothes,suits are armour, man armour. They all wear the same so they don’t stand out and get picked on by bigger men. A slightly different tie is acceptable once you get to officer class.

I do hate these only women bleed type posts though. Advocate for better healthcare, childcare but it’s noones fault men and women have different body functions.
