I also came of age during the 70s & the Jesus movement. I am deeply disheartened by the brand of Christianity that took root in the last few decades. I watched Shiny Happy People 2 a few weeks ago & can’t get it out of my mind. It did help me understand why we’re where we are, but it made me sick.

I love these birds!! I have two large paintings on burlap of them in my home. In Brazil they are called Tuiuiu (Too-yoo-yoo) and they are fabulous! We saw them often when we lived near the Pantanal in western Brazil. Your photo was a much needed shot of joy today.
