you guys should have backed the crowdfund on Excspence, that was the only way to get the invisible haruspex deck for generating initial Atavisms. here’s a pic of mine. if you backed at the Millenarian tier you got all 2 variants of the deck, plus the designer is legally required to be your friend

The redesigned M:tG rākṣasa draws from their original appearance in Indian epics, the sources that made me fall in love with them. I always have sympathy for a species widely maligned as evil, but full of moral complexity even in sources ostensibly condemning them.

Rākṣasas are my favorite monster, tied with orcs! My most-played RPG character, Item Girl (pictured here), is a rākṣasi. However, the best-known rākṣasa design is the cat-headed Gygax one, based on an old episode of an American TV show. Cat features on rākṣasas in Indian myth are extremely rare.
