I don’t think you should be offended nor should the immigrant be offended. So no I am not proving your point. My point is that we life in a changing world and we all have to adjust.
January 28, 2025 at 5:00 PM
Last answer from my side: there is no connection between the numbers you mention. While I agree that our pensions system is broken af. That is not due to refugees, bürgergeldempfänger etc.
January 28, 2025 at 4:58 PM
Sorry but that is just BS. There is no statistic that shows that most of the knife attacks are done by immigrants. That’s the kind of stories that nobody needs.
And for me that’s the end of that discussion here. I am willing to talk about facts but not about made up numbers.
January 28, 2025 at 4:57 PM
I don’t think banning pork is a problem we should be discussing. I have the feeling that people often feel offended. The reality is the world is changing it always has and so does life change here. That’s absolutely normal and refugees are not to blame for that.

Learning the language as you mention is important. Sure but where do you learn a language in daily life, at work, in spots clubs in the social life. We need to enable participation to make integration successful.
January 28, 2025 at 4:50 PM
Oh I don’t close my eyes to the that side. As mentioned before I see those problems but I don’t understand how closing our boarders would help. You are giving a lot of examples which I get interfere with the personal experience of people but experience is not statistics.
January 28, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Yes I am. I don’t think we should base our politics on feelings but rather facts. more people working gives us better integration. More working people decreases criminality, according to studies not only about refugees. Another important factor in my eyes is mental health care for refugees.
January 28, 2025 at 4:47 PM
The main reason why this percentage is so high are the refugees from Ukraine which get Bürgergeld. Which is my eyes a good thing. I think helping people on a financial way that has to leave their country due to war is a very very important thing!
January 28, 2025 at 4:43 PM
We have to tackle the main problem and that is that many people are not integrated into the society and that is a responsibility of them(yes!) but of us as Sherman society as well. Integration works that best trough work. If you move to a new city your first contacts are at work. We need to enable.
January 28, 2025 at 4:30 PM
And now my answer. Nobody is blaming Germans for not reaching out enough! That is absolute BS. The key is faster integration into the society by enabling refugees to work as soon as possible. And participate via work and social contacts in the society. They want to contribute their fair share.

Is this a question you want answer or are you just willing to imply that you are not happy with the solutions that the greens and spd propose? It is fair to disagree with political positions but the childish move to say I am right an you are wrong that merz basically does. Is just shit.
January 28, 2025 at 4:24 PM
The greens and spd are not strictly against any solution. That’s just wrong! And just because Merz thinks his proposal is the solution, that does not mean that it is the solution. SPD and greens made themselves proposals in the past that merz blocked.
January 28, 2025 at 4:04 PM
Still the solution is not to do things that:
1. don’t help the problem
2. undermine the EU laws
3. and will ultimately fail and bring even more voters to the AfD.

The CDU must succeed in uniting the country again if merz gets to be chancellor. Populism is no adequate means to unite.
January 28, 2025 at 7:34 AM
Nobody ever said that there is no problem on how we deal with integration of immigrants in Germany. We have an issue here which has to be tackled but Merz proposals do not tackle the basic problem.
January 28, 2025 at 7:30 AM
100% why overcomplicate it ;-)
January 27, 2025 at 10:03 PM
And following your logic the cdu would have had to support the „Ample Koalition“ because at least in the beginning there was a big majority in favour of their politics. Spoiler Merz did what he could to not support the Ample. Which is „fair“ as him being the minority leader.
January 27, 2025 at 9:33 PM
That’s an easy one. A poll is not a vote. Decisions are taken in parliament. Currently the parliament is how it is. More important there is a huge difference between limiting immigration and what merz is proposing. BTW much of what he proposed is not even possible due to EU law. It is populism.

Somebody close by my place is selling some expired Agfa slide film. 2 boxes a total of 20 sheets for 20€.
For development I develop all my slide film with rodinal as first dev and then c41 gives me good enough results and cuts some costs ;-)
January 27, 2025 at 9:14 PM
Oh yes it does. When Merz himself says that he does not cooperate on anything with the AfD and even does not allow to make proposals they can vote with them and now changes his mind. Than that’s his decision but than it is a collaboration on that issue. He hasn’t got the balls to admit it straight.
January 27, 2025 at 9:05 PM
I guess shortening the whole discussion down to this is one of our major problems.
