This was the thing that finally turned the knob for me back to "on to the next one." I've submitted one thing in the last 13 months - a packet of poems. It's reflective of all the things I hate about the literary publishing world. One cold sentence. 13 months of inactivity. No pay even if accepted.

Have to post joy. What a fun time teaching my little one to paint and have fun with it without being perfect.

My titles are getting fun and playful again. Thanks in particular to @danielmiller.bsky.social and @toddedillard.bsky.social for so many reminders to make writing fun again.

Book giveaway time. I published my debut full-length collection of poetry last year called SHARED BLOOD, and quite frankly, I just want people to read it. So, respond with a favorite prose poem/book of prose poems/prose poet recommendation, and I'll pick randomly to send out three copies FREE!

Said imma eff around and share some sketches since I finally got the courage to be creative again. Currently writing novella, designing board game, and generally trying to just engage and find the fun again.

People do, I have learned, identified themselves with their avatars in popular video games from their childhood with platform characters. For instance, I’ve always played Rosalina since she became available. Tonight I did brief coloring with my Mario-obsessed youngest to bring you this redux.
