We already had these men as PM. Would President be any worse? At least they'd have a fixed term limit. Not that they'd win an election now. Besides, a ceremonial president as head of state with no executive power would mean it could be anyone popular enough to be elected - not just a politician.

Also, being pedantic, but the primary language of every country in the UK is English. Not to disparage Welsh, Cornish, Gaelic etc, but they're spoken by a small minority even though they have cultural significance for their respective regions.

OP said bilingual. That's more than saying hi, otherwise I'd call myself decalingual. When is the prime minister supposed to find time to study 5 languages to a decent level of fluency on top of, y'know, being prime minister?

Wow, I thought I had gone back in time 10 years to the heyday of UKIP when I read that Farage had trouble with a racist candidate. But no, it appears that this is an evergreen issue for him. What draws these people to Farage, I wonder? Could it be that his beliefs and policies appeal to racists?
