Aren't we lucky that he's always unfailingly honest.

'The connections not immediately obvious' is sanewashing in its purest form. These aren't inane ramblings, they're cleverly connected things that we have not yet worked out, but eventually we'll catch up to Trump's genius.

Please don't take away my dream of a Planet of the Cows scenario with your facts.

"And I suppose it's OK" should have been in the real song. I don't care that it doesn't scan.

I'm sure Paul would be above Attenborough, Dench and Elton John if he'd ever done anything for (a) animals (b) James Bond films or (c) music. Oh, wait.

We already had these men as PM. Would President be any worse? At least they'd have a fixed term limit. Not that they'd win an election now. Besides, a ceremonial president as head of state with no executive power would mean it could be anyone popular enough to be elected - not just a politician.

Also, being pedantic, but the primary language of every country in the UK is English. Not to disparage Welsh, Cornish, Gaelic etc, but they're spoken by a small minority even though they have cultural significance for their respective regions.

OP said bilingual. That's more than saying hi, otherwise I'd call myself decalingual. When is the prime minister supposed to find time to study 5 languages to a decent level of fluency on top of, y'know, being prime minister?
December 21, 2025 at 11:32 PM
OP said bilingual. That implies fluency, a little more than yes, no and thank you.
December 21, 2025 at 11:29 PM
So you want to limit the pool of people who can be Prime Minister to those who can speak a language understood by 1% of the population of the UK?

Wow, I thought I had gone back in time 10 years to the heyday of UKIP when I read that Farage had trouble with a racist candidate. But no, it appears that this is an evergreen issue for him. What draws these people to Farage, I wonder? Could it be that his beliefs and policies appeal to racists?

Except then he might play video games himself rather than pay other people to level up his character for him.

I laughed at this the same way people laughed at the absurd prospect of a President Donald Trump when the Simpsons did it.

I mean, so would I. A hospital is far better equipped. I'd call an ambulance though, I'm not heartless like the innkeepers of Bethlehem.

I've always used them – especially in emails – without realising they had an association with AI.

I would have thought so too, if I hadn't lived through the evidence to the contrary.
