This would also explain why sounds like a creature's claws clicking on a hard floor also arouses me, it's just so sensorily pleasing. I think I can trace this back to hearing horses' hooves as a toddler and being very intrigued by it.

To give concrete examples: every time I look at the leopard seal in Happy Feet or Kaa in The Jungle Book (2016), I feel such a strong desire to feel their faces and bodies, and it's almost like I can feel exactly how the seal's blubbery skin or Kaa's smooth scales would feel.

Appreciation post for one of my favorite animal characters, Kaa from the 2016 remake of The Jungle Book. I always love to see talking animals with realistic anatomy, and in her case, she can still stretch her jaws wiiiide open.
