Mine was also out of warranty, I did mention this issue started when it was in warranty, but I assumed it was software related and was waiting for a patch. Good luck.

Sunds like a hardware defect. I’m sure you’re familiar with Valve’s customer support. I can almost guarantee a single message to them about what’s going on would result in an immediate replacement. Had to go through this process for my software issue and they replaced the unit anyway for me.
