Thank you for the insight. Given there has been no release of the bidi and other changes in repo and it has been quite some time since the last commit, adapting the library would also require contributing to further development. I will give it a go and see if it is manageable.

Custom build systems, the great opposing force of human progress 😄 I might give it a try anyway, as I have rewritten pretty much all build scripts of all my third party dependencies.

Your library supports more features than my own and I have been eyeing libs.suckless.org/libgrapheme/ for supporting various unicode/grapheme features.

So I'm curious if you evaluated this library and if you have any thoughts compared to SheenBidi and libunibreak?
