Also a classic case of: an increase to my salary is one I've earned and deserve for being good at my job, but any correlated increase in cost of living is entirely the fault of the economy and or incumbent govt.

I have read (and liked) Mokyr's Enlightened Economy, on the link between industrialisation and British intellectual movements, but can't speak to the paper that actually won the Nobel

This had nothing to do with FFP - we're talking basically immaterial amounts of money to Chelsea's overall finances here. More accurately the sale was just a way to get him game time without using up a loan spot - but once Guiu got recalled that didn't matter, hence the loan to Swansea instead.

Yeah I agree that they are not identical and there's a fair bit of subtle differentiation to be made, but interesting that both ultimately connote a lack of technical quality and a kind of basic, rudimentary approach to the game

Realised whilst watching Brighton Forest that 'agricultural' and 'industrial' mean basically the same thing in footballing terms. Are there any subtle differences between the two? Why have such historically antithetical modes of production come to be a shared shorthand for shanked clearences etc?
