Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

It was your comment about “small field” of “exact same people”. It’s weird that you wouldnt have at least some turnover even if nepotism. smells like very corrupt including failure to properly credit students/staff

mostly idealism from me. if dinosaurs at all depend on the work of younger researchers, then ”their influence” is not actually theirs and shouldn’t be treated as such.

i know what you mean, but also kind of weird that you were a young ECR and have not seen any significant turnover or promotion. this usually means younger people are doing a lot of the work but not getting credit (which you are one of perpetustion by framing it this way)

Yea and a lot of people don’t live close enough to one to make it worth it

although I suspect MLB.TV might remain as an app for live stats, highlights and radio feeds. Which many will pay for.

if this involves getting people to pay to move to the ESPN app, I predict 2-3x whatever the number of lost customers they have already planned for

I have engaged in good faith and you keep insulting me for being willing to support games. have a good one.

I never said any of those things. If a studio wants to hire people to make new content for a game and charge for it, I don’t see how that affects my previously informed decision to purchase the original game. Otherwise I am expecting those people to work for free.

art is made by people who need to eat. gamers are so weird about this specific issue.

All I’m saying is that selects for a very restrictive business model. And we require it of very few other goods. It’s like getting mad at George Martin for selling a fourth book.

if the game is complete, why do you care if there is future DLC?
