This CNN headline is fucking bonkers. The President doesn’t get to just order investigations and prosecutions of whomever he wants. Normalizing this effectively means the law no longer matters. All that matters is what the President wants.

The thing about the President making this designation about a group that does not exist is that it enables federal law enforcement to designate certain types of actions and speech as being in support of “antifa” and thus terrorism.

From the party that repeatedly gives us "thoughts and prayers" every time a cis white guy commits a mass shooting (which is 97% of our nation's mass shootings), now they've decided there *is* one time they're willing to do more than just think and pray.

Trying a new look. Never had a mustache before. Keep?

Also very relatable.

Look at the “crimes” committed by the “criminal” soccer coach (see we can do quotes too). Basically he probably tried to run away when he didn’t have his license available to show them. “3rd degree assault” is like throwing a sub at a guy. And that’s based on ICE’s own reckoning.

In my lifetime I’ve never seen an American President look as weak as Trump did yesterday. American weakness on display for the world.

I do wonder if people under 30 years old know these kinds of forecast maps used to be split between colder and warmer than normal temperature outlooks. Nowadays they’re usually just a sea of orange and red warmer and much warmer than normal.

So we aren’t gonna punish women and their doctors for seeking medical care during pregnancy right? Also trans kids and their parents can make decisions about their own care right?

The revisions for in the latest jobs numbers May and June are bonkers. Basically job growth disappeared, but the Trump administration spent the last few months bragging that things were great.

On the left is Jeffrey Epstein’s home from the FBI raid photos. On the right is the Oval Office, as Trump has redecorated it with fake gold embellishments and paintings he brought in. Good lord.

Today I gave away one of my most prized belongings. My grandpa’s 108 year old violin, that I inherited as a child, and that I today gave to someone who lost his own violin in the Eaton Fire. It’s about showing up for others, and breathing new life into something that had run its course in mine.

Having Kash Patel and Pam Bondi at the top of our Dept of Justice has real impacts to things you might never expect it to affect. Like in this case forcing three children’s hospitals to lawyer up and spend precious resources on fighting ginned up bullshit charges.

For anyone thinking this will be quick, here are photos showing (1) our "shock and awe" bombing of Iraq in March of 2003, (2) tearing down a Saddam statue 3 weeks later, and (3) George Bush declaring "Mission Accomplished 3 weeks after that.

That war lasted 8 more years and cost trillions.

So if you don’t make a deal in whatever time frame Donald Trump sets he can just bomb your country? WTF even is this supposed to mean.

The only reason to end suicide prevention efforts designed for a specific vulnerable group of people is indifference to more of them committing suicide.

The 3252 made a strong statement at last night’s LAFC match. Standing in silence for nearly the full 90 minutes, to show the importance and power of immigrants, they ended the match singing “this is Los Angeles!” It was a very moving night on a day that started with marching in the LA Pride parade.

LA’s approach to street safety in a nutshell.

There is tho. In the San Pedro neighborhood of LA.
May 11, 2025 at 3:16 PM
Oh I see. We had to cut all that cancer research so the President could afford to parade a few thousand soldiers through the streets for his birthday.

LA in a (nut)shell: a smashed turtle that was likely run over because a driver didn’t have time to wait or to get out and help it back to somewhere safe (this is on a side street, mind you).

Are you telling me that *we* are the ones who pay these tariffs? But Trump promised us that other countries would pay them, not us.

Elon managed to kneecap our government and make it more expensive at the same time. Kind like how Donald is managing to drive us into a recession that comes along with increasing prices.

WTF are we even doing here.
