Day one of sadly only two at the Bestwood Lodge. Turns out it is reputed to be a tad haunted... Top 5 most haunted hotels in Britain, even! I'll hopefully get some extra time to explore later :)

Last place I stayed this nice was Château Rhianfa, I wonder if Bestwood Lodge is haunted too?

The Intrusive Thoughts are telling me to do the first story in this on a Podcast, with some full on Yorkshire accents for the characters...

Past Luke did good, and had stashed my favourite supermarket coffee in the fridge before the weekend. Time to finish up a podcast!

The bunting is a nice touch! In Leeds for a nerd event tomorrow, expanded into a small writing retreat while I'm here anyway :)

Dead Reset is an absolute bargain at £13!

Into the collection with you, for some Spooky Season fun :D

Some horror movies are a fun harmless ride with a jump scare every 10 minutes or so that wrap up neatly. This is not that type of horror movie.
The Long Walk is a cruel ordeal that wants you to face some harsh questions about humanity and morality, doing a pretty effective job of it too!

You know what I've realised?

These aren't horror movies.

They're superhero movies.

The movie Warrens (don't Google the real Warrens...) hop from adventure to adventure, saving people from the perils of evil with a mix of earnest bravery and some superpowers to back it up.

I'd missed this until now, I'd seen a recommendation for it but forgotten until it popped up in my recommendations.

It's pretty intense! Only up to episode two, but the train...

Possibly not for a casual audience :P

What a brilliant year for horror! This is a weird, fun, and beautifully shot one. I'd heard this had a great pay off, and I wasn't disappointed. This may not be the scariest offering, but...

I don't want to say more. Weapons will reward you for going in unspoiled!

Treated myself today!

Also to some boring adult stuff like a new umbrella and electric toothbrush, but the important thing is cool movies 😜

This is an incredibly uncomfortable horror movie. If you aren't sure if it will be for you? Probably give it a miss. But if you like some raw, cruel storytelling that doesn't hold back this will deliver.

Silly seagull, you are not people. Get down from there!

I just had a whole lot of fun watching Megan 2.0!

It's Terminator 2 for Gen Alpha, pivoting away from horror into action. It's camp, it's silly, it's pretty damn great.

Since I'm heading to a Summerween Horror Market, I've broken out a Halloween theme Hawaiian shirt :D

Sadly this is a lightweight, and at times daft, exercise in world building. There's entertainment to be had here but if you see someone hating on it they've got plenty of good reasons to do so.

It's random, but this really leapt out to me as I headed out tonight :)

Fun was had as an extra last night, but I urgently need a shower to get the rest of this make up off then a whole lot of sleep XD

A LIGHT THROUGH COLOURED GLASS has a general release! A truly independent film a whole lot of us poured blood, sweat, and tears into can now be found in a whole lot of places (check the second picture).

My week is BUSY.

Busy with things I want to do! But there's been something of task pile up. I should be fine, but it's about to get intense for a moment...

My latest seagull encounter, I had to flap at them to deter the divebomb attack on my meal deal! Given that this was likely a hungry mama, I shared a bit of egg and some bread crusts.
