If you don't do a lot of work on your feet (running, walking, etc) make sure to ease into it and watch your ankles as you get more miles and weight under your belt. Prevent the weight from bouncing around in the pack, pack some water, throw on a podcast, and get it done.

Yes, was forced to do it back in the Army days but now do it for fun, kind of. GoRuck is the best pack to get and they have great training plans. I've had a GR1 for years and traveled all over the world with it..makes throwing some weight and walking more enjoyable when it fits right.
