Checked out the SW's south-coast kittiwake colony again yesterday: with French birds including a new individual. More local birds found that have moved from the original colony further west, which is now pretty much empty.

Kittiwakes in the south-west of Britain are back on the ledges. A couple of French-ringed birds seen already, and a locally ringed bird too.
This might be the most south-westerly mainland population of kittiwakes in Britain, still holding on. Though the colonies main site has moved over recent years
