Had a great walk over the old Brandhall GC this morning. Walked all 18 holes tee to green and it bought back lots of memories. From learning to play golf there and getting my HCP down to 15 to hanging round there with mates and getting together with Mrs Cotty at aged 16

This Holocaust Memorial Day marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp. Yesterday I was humbled to hear the inspiring words of Mindu Hornick MBE, a survivor of Auschwitz and reflect on how we can work towards a better future for all

Yesterday I attended the Commonwealth Games Legacy weightlifting competition at Oldbury Academy. It was great to see so many young people taking an interest in fitness and I got to chat to a couple of the youth competitions gold medal winners.

First walkabout of the year and it was a cold one 🥶 great to be out all three of us along with council officers and PCSO Alison discussing and acting on issues around Chester Rise and the surrounding area. It was good to have conversations with a few residents who were also out braving the cold

Out of office on until 6th Jan…good time to rest and recover after a hectic year with a few days in Disney thrown in. Merry Christmas all 🎅🏼🤶🏼🎄☃️🍻

And in the blink of an eye the big lad is 16. Couldn’t be prouder to be his dad ❤️

As a person of no faith it was good to listen to different faith leaders from across the different communities and it was especially inspiring to hear from the Young Ambassadors for Tomorrow. It makes me think Sandwell is in safe hands for the future.

It was great to attend the closing ceremony of the knife angel last night and lay a candle in remembrance of all the victims of knife crime

International Men’s Day 2024. I’m blessed that between family, friends and colleagues I have (and had) some great men in my life, non greater than those in the pictures

Last Sunday I was honoured to attend the Cenotaph in Oldbury for the rememberance service and lay a wreath on behalf of the people of Old Warley with my follow councillors Harnoor Bhullar and Chipiliro Kalebe-nyamongo.
