It’s kinda awesome that Sam Fisher choose Poland in Netflix Splinter Cell series as his retirement place … they made it look like it’s still like 1990s in here but still …

I see people on Reddit … discussing how they can prolong / limit copilot / cursor / cloude tokens … it’s definitely a new frontier for engineering, token junkies unable to do anything when their limits run out … people who can do software without the Ai will be like super heroes or sth

Just read the story of Dualingo loosing 40% shares value to replacing content and translation creators with AI, corporate wet dreams of replacing humans with AI is just nothing but a wet dream. People want real value and substance not Ai slop …

Tried cursor … it beautifully shows what it’s doing, it’s fixing the TS types, how it thinks about this and that, goes on and on .. it’s beautiful until you see nothing is working and see how much it is costing you to get a bunch of jibberish … still little bit better than the copilot

Everyday I read that it’s da end for human programming … but in reality whenever i tried to do some more complicated tasks / code, it turns out to be a mix of frustration and disappointment. I guess the authors of these posts think about making ui buttons or sth, not actual systems or software.

Sqlite must be the most battle tested db in all software engineering… almost every app will utilise the SQLite for holding internal data, PC apps, mobile apps, internal Linux processes … it’s everywhere
