In the grand scheme of things, that isn't even that much money. But on the other hand, you can't expect governments to fully subsidise private leagues.

I wonder what environmental agencies will do to combat this, and if their actions would be prompted in part by lobbying from tourist agencies.

An example of a politician using sport as a way to popularize himself within his base of support is (convicted felon) Donald Trump, the 45th and 47th President of the United States. I definitely agree. Sport broadcasting companies should make a larger effort to showcase women's sports, and I think these companies would be quite surprised with how well ratings would hold up. For instance, women's MMA has proved itself to be incredibly popular within North American sports media.

2004's "Malice at the Palace" saw a quasi-criminal conflict between on-the-court players escalate and spill out into the stands. Five fans were charged with assault and given lifetime bans from the NBA, and nine players (most notably Ron Artest and Stephen Jackson) were suspended from play.

All things considered, it seems crazy to me that he wasn't punished more severely. Causing a seizure on your opponent is next level stuff, and Thatcher's lucky to have not been hit with a lawsuit. I wonder how outcomes would differ if this type of thing happened in North American soccer.

This is similar to how Luka Doncic was perceived during his time with the Dallas Mavericks. Despite his incredible skill and talent, he was eventually traded in part due to organizational beliefs that he was not athletic/in shape enough to contribute to winning basketball.

Emerging NBA superstar Victor Wembanyama has captivated fans for his incredibly skilled playstyle, matched with his unique (and advantageous) body metrics. Victor is a positive outlier (therefore deviant) through the fact that no other player in basketball can match his unique physical profile.
How Wembanyama’s unique body metrics redefine basketball advantage
Wemby’s height already gives him a big advantage in basketball, but there’s more to it than that.

This sucks, especially since Tua hasn't even been in the NFL for very long. I have no clue what needs to be done in order to protect players more in football, but there definitely should be extra measures in place. I wonder how changes to the helmet's structure would affect the sport's public image.

From Bo's perspective, missing out on a World Series when baseball has consumed his entire life would be devastating. Understanding this, his overall rationale becomes clear. If he is healthy enough to play baseball, that is what he'll do.

It shocks me how people can be blatantly racist to someone, 100% aware of what they are saying and the impact that it has on the person they are targeting. Blatant, ignorant hatred should have no place in society, and it puzzles me why some condone it.
