we should be asking "okay, why are people using these things in these situations? is something missing that we can provide? is something broken that we can fix?" and sort that out on a human-to-human level. memes and directives devoid of compassion will not fix that!

if i wanted a response with zero judgement, whether that was the right or wrong thing at the time (subjective), of course i'd pick the thing that would give me zero judgement. i don't think people see it from that point of view and that's the wrong approach to resistance in this context IMO

this isn't to promote or defend the use of LLMs in this context as they are VERY VERY BAD FOR THIS but humans can be too and guess which one has the power to control and change their behaviours for the betterment of others?

i do think about this often. i still marvel at a lot of Web 2.0 era tech and sometimes miss my first ever mp3 player which i saved up a month's pocket money for. i had to go on a trip before i could put music on it so i just listened to 3 whitney houston songs that were preloaded on it on loop haha
