When a typo in the abstract makes you more likely to read the paper :-)

This is so dumb, I had to double check it's not a joke. But, no it's Google's #AI that's the joke.

To be fair, the AI did now add a source for its claim ... which is an Instagram post ridiculing this very AI summary 🤦

Apparently the easiest way of deactivating Google's AI is to adding swear words to the search string.

I really "love" how #YouTube 's AI has apparently decided that I want all video titles translated badly into German and all ads dubbed awfully into English.
(no, this numberphile video is not about the shortest newspapers of all times...)

I recently had the opportunity to present my thesis "Dynamic Network Flows with Adaptive Route Choice based on Current Information" at the meeting of the German Society for Operations Research (GOR).
They now published a high-level summary (in German) on their blog:

An animation showing the propagation of a continuous flow though a simple network. There is flow in two different colors (red and blue) each with a corresponding source and destination within the network. After some time on one edge in the middle a queue starts to build up and, consequently, flow earlier in the network starts to take an alternative route in order to avoid this queue.
